How To Use Social Media

There are billions of people on Social Media.

But how do you reach your target audience and cut through all the noise?

In other words, how do you use this thing to promote your business?

(I'm no expert, this is just what helps me)

🔥 TIP NUMBER ONE

Use Social Media to grab attention, not a sale.

Avoid selling on social media. If that works for you, all the power to you. For most of us, selling makes people tune out.

What is your intention from a stranger to your business? A phone call? A quote request? A download? An appointment? Use Social Media to get attention and sell in the right channel.

Remember, money follows attention.

🔥 TIP NUMBER TWO

Use it to offer value, be helpful and creative.

Instead of "I'm the best" and "Buy from us", try offering something helpful or creative. Show them in indirect ways how doing business with you is a good idea.

BUT ALAN, I don't have time to post on silly social media.

Sure, and that leads me to...

🔥 TIP NUMBER THREE

You're NOT too busy to post on social media.

It's a myth that you haven't got the time to do it. Any business owner has 20 seconds to pull out their phone and film a short video and post it. (or hand it off to someone else to post fancy graphics like this)

Look, social media has really helped me and I know it can help you too.

No matter what industry or business, there's a way to leverage social media to your benefit.

Use it, and use it well.
