It is getting more and more difficult to convert traffic into job leads.
In fact, the average conversion rate is only 1-2%, meaning out of every 100 visitors, only 1 or 2 will use your contact form.
But as tradesmen, there are a lot of things you can do to boost those numbers.
Here's 3 quick ways to get more.
🔥 Tip #1 - Show your reviews and accreditations at the top of the page
As most people won't scroll down your website, it's a mistake to put your good stuff down there at the bottom.
You'll want your 'social proof' at the top of the page, below or integrated with your hero image, heading, subheading and CTA button.
🔥 Tip #2 - Make your location or service areas obvious
Most people assume the traffic will just automatically understand this or Google will show it to the right people.
Look, both those people and Google need you to spell it out for them on your page. And you should have this obvious at the top of the page, too.
🔥 Tip #3 - Stop using stock photos
Too many websites use the same pictures of the guy holding the screwdriver to the wall. I've seen him, you've seen him, we've all probably seen him at least a thousand times.
Use actual photos of your team in uniform, vehicle signage and photos of jobs you've done and watch the leads flow in like magic.
With these tips you can start improving the results from your website because you deserve the opportunity to help more people.
